I have one strange evidence to share with friends. It is not a big story or a huge evidence in criminal scope of law. It is just some photographs of real evidence. It was about a banana tree belonging to my mother in law which produced fruits twice.
The banana just popping out from the trunk. Strange isn't it?

It is late in the afternoon and I presume your 1 day trip is insufficient for you to complete your visit to the ICP. Never mind, you may come again next time, just to visit ICP only. Next time, please also include the Terengganu State Museum in your tour list.
The most probable place to go next is the Islamic Civilization Park at Pulau Wan Man. From Pulau Duyong you have to enter interchange to the Bridge of Sultan Mahmud heading towards the City Center. You will pass by many places of interest on the way to Islamic Civilization Park ( ICP ), such as the all time crowded Mydin Shopping Mall, GIANT Hypermarket, Cabang Tiga Market and the Terengganu State Museum.

Short Tour Around Kuala Terengganu - Part 2
Where To Go : Part 2
For your next destination, I propose to you to visit Pulau Duyung, which is just opposite of the Market and on the other side of the river.
While on the way to Pulau Duyong, we will pass by another weekend attraction in Kuala Terengganu, the Balik Bukit Public Park. This Park is facing the River of Terengganu and lately has became a new popular destination for visitors especially during weekends.
To go to Pulau Duyong you have to cross the river of Terengganu through the Bridge of Sultan Mahmud and exit the bridge to Pulau Duyong.
You will be welcomed by the Gate of Monsoon Cup, Pulau Duyong.
On the left of the Gate is Mangrove trees garden preserved by the appropriate local authority.
You may have to pass the security guard for a simple checking before you can enter the compound of Ri-Yaz Heritage Spa and Hotel. Next is the famous view of the Hotel which became the host for the participants of the Monsoon Cup every year.
The Cup is part of the prestige Swedish Cup Competition which have been participated by top teams throughout the world.
After having some tea in the Restaurant of the Hotel we should visit the Pulau Duyong boat makers. Their products have been well established and known throughout the world. The boats produced here are made from Teak and Chengal woods which were suitable for yachts, fishing boats and trawlers.
Finally, here is the map to Pulau Duyong if you want to visit this place again.

Short Tour Around Kuala Terengganu - Part 1
Where To Go?
Part 1
If you have only 1 day in Kuala Terengganu, you may be do not know where to go. You might be spending your time around the beach of Batu Buruk or Pasar Payang/Central Market or just have sweet moments with the loved one in hotel room.
If you have only 1 day in Kuala Terengganu, you may be do not know where to go. You might be spending your time around the beach of Batu Buruk or Pasar Payang/Central Market or just have sweet moments with the loved one in hotel room.
I can propose to you to adjust your programs properly so that more places can be visited within the limited times that you have.
First, get a transport. If you can drive, rent a cheap and small car from the hotel you stay for easy parking and maneuvering. You can rent the car for 10 hours which will cost about MYR60.00.
rental for this Perodua Kancil will cost about MYR6.00 per hour |
or get this fuel saver Viva for MYR10.00 per hour rent |
Your first location is Pasar Payang/Central Market. If this is your first destination of the day, you must go to this market as early as 8.00 am. You should be able to have a parking lot for your car at this time. You must have checklist for your shopping here.
Choose your parking location. You can choose whether to have an underground parking lots under the Bazar Warisan which is just opposite of the Market, or parking lots beside the road itself or the one with 5 storey parking lots which attached to the Market.
I presume you might need not less than 2 hours to be spent here. The Market also have food courts for visitors to have meals here. You may try local foods, beverages and cuisines for your breakfast. The prices are reasonable.
Next, go to the dry and wet portion to see fresh vegetables and fruits for sale.
Then visit the textiles section for a view to local silk production as well as the local copper wares.
I presume to this extent, visitors already completed 2 hours inside the Market. Next is to get out from the parking lot and heading towards 2nd destination. You may stop and take some deep breathe for fresh air along the riverside portion of the Market.
