Abandoned and Forgotten Beauty

Today is 19th February,2011. Have nothing to do in the evening. Tried to wash car but wife asked to help her in the kitchen. Nothing funny but full with tension. When your women is the Queen in the kitchen, you will be her servant. You will have to listen, obey and obliged to her until all that kitchen works are finished. Only then you will have a free moment to do your own. The best reward is a compliment from her...a glass of orange juice and 2 pieces of sandwiches for the evening.

Must go out quickly because there might be another project awaiting from the Queen. So, after telling her that I have got to meet old friend at the Masjid Tg. Tengah Zaharah (well known as Masjid Terapung, or Floating Mosque), I felt some relief when she allowed me to go out.

My friend had waited for me just beside the Floating Mosque (the above picture). After parked my car properly, we jogged lightly on the pedestrian walk around the lake of the Mosque. It was a beautiful evening.

We have jogged for three rounds in the area of the Ibai Lagoon Recreational Park before took some rest for few minutes.

Then my friend suggested that we go to the estuary of Ibai river which was not far from the Park. To our surprise, the estuary once have renown as a beautiful beach in this region has became a dump area for plastic waste such as used plastic bottles, plastic bags and other used plastic items. Apart from that, the beach was also not safe for bare foot because so many pieces of rotten woods and tree branches concealed underneath of the white sand.

Fortunately, there were some good portions of the beach preserved by the nature itself. I have taken some photographs around there as per pictures herein below. I think the place will still worthwhile to be visited for a beach camping in the weekends.

the estuary of Ibai River...what a beauty then...

Perhaps with some observations from the Local Authorities, this beautiful place can be upgraded into much more better place to be visited by the public. More preservation and public advertisement about this place have to be taken by the Authorities in exposing them to the worldwide.

Some section of the Park was well preserved to attract public to visit the same. But the beach was left alone to take care of itself.

The best work they have done was to construct the barrier of wave breaker along the beach. Then, no more beach available for us anymore and we lost it forever.
