School holiday is coming very soon. Every body has its own schedules and programs or has to follow someone's schedules or programs.

But, if you are free and do not have special programs, you may try to visit Redang Island for a 2 days 1 night package. Try to get a medium class budget resort to save cost.

I personally recommend you to stay at Redang Mutiara Beach Resort, the first resort of the main island you will meet (apart from Berjaya Resort, the only resort of the island which is accessible by air transportation) if you are traveling by boat/ferry. But, if you have  purchased the package, the resort management will arrange your transportation to and fro the island as well. Your contact point will be at Merang Jetty. Merang is located in the Setiu district of Terengganu, and about 25km north from Kuala Terengganu. It takes pride of place in travel brochures as the jumping-off point for visitors to Pulau Redang and Pulau Bidong which are the popular diving and snorkeling spot. The village itself is no more than a sleeping fishing village. There is a jetty built for boats to Pulau Redang and Pulau Bidong, equipped with eateries, toilets and ticket counters. With coconut trees growing nearly everywhere and the turquoise blue sea so evident, the idyllic beauty and serenity of the village was a welcome sight for tourists and visitors. Hiding among the coconut trees are a number of Malay run chalets for travelers or visitors whom do not want to stay overnight in the Island. The room rates are much more cheaper than the rates of the resorts in the Island. So, they just rent a boat for a visit to the Marine Park, the main island and for snorkeling and scuba diving activities and headed back to the Chalet on the mainland in the evening.

Why I recommend this resort to you? Well, this resort actually offers a fantastic low price packages with the sum as low as from MYR 206.00 per person for 2 days and 1 night stay plus meals. This price is one of the lowest price offered by resorts and chalets operators in the island. Actually, I have no interest whatsoever with the Resorts' management. I wrote this article because I felt very satisfied with my stays at the Resort many times before. Even though it was rated very low, but their services were first class and my family have no single complaint against them.

Redang Mutiara Beach Resort! (formerly known as Redang de'ekor Tebu Island Resort) is located on Pulau Redang itself and created a paradise that has facilities and capabilities far beyond any other resort available around here in terms of package  and tour prices. With breathtaking underwater scenes, crystal clear  water and beautiful white powdery sandy beach, you can never ever imagine it, even within your own wildest dream. All marine life, inhabitants, colorful corals and anemones are there to serve your eyes. All guests would be treated to the resorts' own  private and exclusive beach and where they may enjoy privacy without sharing with the guests from other resorts or chalets. Twin sharing, triple sharing and quads sharing chalet/rooms are available at the lowest  and affordable price. Island tour, “Candat Sotong”, Bat Cave Adventure, Bird Nest Watching,  Turtle Lay Eggs Watching, Snorkeling, Jungle Tracking, Fishing, Outdoor night Safari, Dart Tournament, Caroms, Monopoly, cards playing, Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer and Marine Park's tour are among activities offered by the resort. They provide attached bathroom and water heater for each room, whilst mini cinema, karaoke, mini bar, 24 hours beverage, beach umbrella, souvenir shop and etc are other extra services duly provided for their guests. Lunch, dinner and barbecues will be made ready for you, surely it will let your stomach full for your sound sleep of the night at Redang Island. 

 

This resort offers its own private and exclusive beach, meaning that its guests have more privacy if compared to the guests staying at various resorts in Teluk Dalam or Pasir Panjang whereby they have to share the crowded beach together. This resort also has its own jetty for its guests. But, some people prefer the crowd. I don't!

The resort is one of the closest to the primary Marine Parks such as Pulau Pinang and in fact, it is the nearest resort to Pulau Kerengga and Pulau Ekor Tebu and not far from Pulau Lima. If you are the follower of my blogs, I presume you should have read my articles duly posted about those islands I have referred to.


The moment you touched down and checked in into your room here (and if you are not tired ), you may ask for a life jacket if you are not a good swimmer plus snorkeling pipe and goggle for a quick snorkeling activity just in  front of the resort or around the jetty. You may see colorful fishes of various type welcoming you, asking for bread (if any) or something from you. Feed them with your own hands. You will remember this events forever...

And, at the moment you are checking out from your room here, you will feel that the 2 days and 1 night package is too short for you to enjoy and explore the islands. You will tell to yourself that you will come again next time.
